Take a deeper dive with the Tennessee Aquarium this spring

CHATTANOOGA, Tenn. (WDEF) – It’s spring break season and plenty of families are making their way to the Tennessee Aquarium to make new memories and have new interactive experiences.
This season, the aquarium is hosting Surprise and Delight hands-on activities with educators where kids get to learn more about a species and occasionally get to see an ambassador animal up close. These experiences are included with a standard admission ticket.
For a more in-depth experience, the aquarium is offering Deeper Dives Tours which allow guests to go on a behind the scenes guided tour or experience a Feeding Frenzy with sharks and turtles in the Ocean Journey building.
The Tennessee Aquarium is also offering “diver chats” on weekends where guests can chat and ask questions with the divers. The divers are equipped with special masks that include a microphone to allow communication with people on the other side of the exhibit glass.
It’s also nearly penguin nesting season! Last year, the aquarium welcomed one new penguin chick, so they are excited and hopeful for another chick to arrive. Nesting season begins in April with Rock Day on April 3 where guests can witness the romance between the penguins as they propose and build nests with rocks.
IMAX continues to have several movies playing. This includes T-Rex, Blue Angels, Call of the Dolphins, and Mickey 17.
