Chattanooga firefighters quickly contain kitchen fire in Hixson home

HIXSON, Tenn. (WDEF) — Chattanooga firefighters put out a kitchen fire in Hixson Tuesday night.
On April 1, 2025 at 9:05 p.m., crews responded to the 2100 block of Crescent Club Drive on reports of a residential structure fire.
The Chattanooga Fire Department (CFD) stated a second alarm was quickly called due to the possibility of entrapment.
Upon arrival, crews found smoke coming from the front of the residence, and found heavier smoke coming from the back with light smoke pushing from the eaves.
Firefighters made entry through the front door to attack the flames in the kitchen and conducted a search.
No one was found inside the residence.
CFD stated the fire was under control by 9:21 p.m., and was extinguished by 9:30 p.m.
No injuries were reported, and the cause of the fire is under investigation.
