CHATTANOOGA, Tenn. (WDEF) – Spring break is nearly here for Hamilton County Schools and the Creative Discovery Museum is continuing the learning with a fun filled camp.
During the camp, kids will get to explore the museum and interact with the exhibits. Registration can be for one day, a couple of days, or the whole spring break. The registration deadline is on Thursday, March 13 with only a few spots left. The camp runs through Hamilton County Schools’ spring break, which is March 17 – 24.
The current exhibit, Namaste India, is bringing in a new event called Holi Festival which is based on the cultural celebration in India. Holi is a colorful celebration of the triumph of good over evil. On March 22, the Creative Discovery Museum will have plenty of music and food all day long. At 4 P.M., guests will get to throw powdered color around. It’s encouraged to wear a white t-shirt to show off the beauty of the combined colors.
Additionally, the Creative Discovery Museum is getting ready for their Day of Play on May 10. The museum will be turning 30 and will celebrate with a massive block party.
