I’ll be the first to say it. College Football is not fun anymore. I know what you’re saying. How can a red-blooded, Southern-born man say such a thing? Two words. One name. Nick Saban!!
If you’re a Bama fan everything is great for you right now. You’re on top of the world! Win after win after win. Reload and keep winning. That’s how Alabama rolls.
Saban even brings out his favorite character after a big win, Salty Old Guy. Even with a convincing victory, Saban is complaining about something. Why? Nick lives off blasting the media and manufacturing storylines to motivate his team. It’s a tired act. As a matter of fact, I cringe when I see him approach a microphone. He’s going to complain, yell some nonsense, and say “Aiiight” way too much. I’m over it. College Football is not fun!!
I know Alabama will dominate 99% of the teams they play. I know they don’t make mistakes. I know they will most likely win the National Championship. I also know that enough is enough. They are too good. Maybe, I’m just mad at Saban for not appreciating what this team is doing. They are a fantastic team but will Nick ever notice? I doubt it. I’m also tired of hearing how great Saban is. I get it, he’s good. However, he’s not a God. Trust me on this one.
In closing, I must say that I respect Saban and what he has done for Alabama. He’s a great coach. I just want him to act like he’s having some fun out there. It’s a game. When did he lose sight of that fact?
Until Saban retires, College Football will not be very enjoyable. There will be a team to rise up and beat the Crimson Tide in the Playoffs from time to time. However, It doesn’t happen enough. Why watch? Are we hoping for second place? No thanks!
A Nick Saban retirement is the only way to save this game we love. Why? Nick Saban is destroying college football!!!
